Is there a minimum time commitment or contract for hosting?

Do you offer any kind of stat programs?

We offer four different stat progams. Analog, Awstats, Webalizer and now Urchin. Analog produces a simple summary of all the people who have visited your site. It is fast and provides great lightweight statistics. Awstats produces great graphical stats. Webalizer is a more complex stats program that produces a nice variety of charts and graphs about who has visited your site. Urchin is a professional commercial stat program which is very accurate and pleasing to the eyes.
Do you charge for changes in mx records?

It's free! Simply go into your control panel, click mail manager, modify mail exchanger and you can change your mx records.

How do I transfer my domain hosting to Flux Services?
|
You need to go to your registrar (where you registered your domain name) and modify the Domain Name Server (DNS) to UltraWebsiteHosting.com. Registrars usually have a username and password that you log in with to make the modifications. If you purchased your domain through us we do it for you.

What is domain propagation?
|
Once you make changes to your domain with the registrar you purchased your domain from, the changes will take 12-72 hours for domain propagation to occur. Domain propagation is the process of your registrar handing off the changes to your domain to ISPs, ISPs to other ISPs and so on until you see the changes reflect on your computer with your internet service provider. Some service providers update their records more often than others and receive changes faster. As a result of this, often you will not be able to get to your website by its' domain name but a friend can. Simply wait out until the changes propagate to your ISP. In the meantime we provide you an IP and temporary address in your welcome email which allow you to start working on your site immediately!
How do I upload my web site via?

To start you will need a FTP program. You can use any standard FTP Client to upload files to your account.
Windows Users:

Linux Users:
Linux Users may want to give Igloo FTP a shot. http://www.iglooftp.com/linux
MacOS X Users:
Fetch is the most popular FTP client for the Macintosh. http://www.fetchsoftworks.com
You can also use the integrated file manager within the control panel to upload files. If you use FrontPage, Dreamweaver or similiar programs that support ftp, you can use those as well.
What website design software do you support?

Our web servers support Microsoft Frontpage Extensions (up to version 2003), as well as all major design programs that use FTP for uploading or downloading website updates.
Do you have Windows Servers?
|
What your run on your home PC does not have to be the same as our servers. Most of our clients run Windows. Our servers are ran with Linux RedHat Enterprise. We also support ASP. If you require a Windows server specifically for a Windows program you can find a Windows hosting provider here.
Can I check my email from the web if I am away from my computer or out of town?

Yes, we will provide you with a web site address so you can check and respond to your email even if you are away from your computer. So, all you need is access to the Internet.
What happens if I go over my bandwidth limit?
|
Our system will not allow you to go over your bandwidth limit. Most sites require very little bandwidth. You can view your bandwidth usage at any time via the control panel. If you would like to increase you bandwidth limit, you can upgrade to the next package or pay an additional $3 per 1GB of traffic a month.
I uploaded my site but I can't see it, why?

Please keep in mind that domain name registration or modification may take up to 48 hours to change and propagate. You can check this domain whois tool frequently to check for changes. We will give you the address on our servers upon signup where you can access your page until the dns zone transfers occur.
I am getting an error. Can you help troubleshoot it?

Can you write a script for me?
