What is an OC-1?
An OC-1 is a type of internet connection. It stands for OpticalCarrier Level 1 which equates to 51.84Mbps of transfer. This base rate is multiplied for use by other OC-n standards. For example, an OC-3 connection is 3 times the rate of OC-1.
