What is an OC-24?

An OC-24 is a type of internet connection. It stands for OpticalCarrier Level 24 which equates to 1.244 Gbps of transfer. This base rate is multiplied for use by other OC-n standards. For example, an OC-3 connection is 3 times the rate of OC-1. Usage of OC-24 is rare.
