What is a T3?

A T3 is a type of data connection able to transmit a digital signal at 44.746 megabits per second. >T3 is often consider the physical media of a DS1 (Digital Signal 3) protocol transmission and it is a widely used standard by telecommunication companies.T3 lines are often used to link medium sized computer networks. Previously considered large, it is now becomming antiquated by larger data transfer types such as OC-12 and OC-48 in datacenters.
