A new bad bot blocker file is available in the download section. This file blocks many email harvesters and comment spam bots. This can help out greatly if you run a message board, guestbook, CMS, or blog.

We have introduced two new exciting webmail programs to our shared servers! Due to cPanel dropping support for NeoMail we have installed two new webmail programs for our clients. UltraMail which is an enhanced version of Squirrelmail, and RoundCube. You will find not only are they both visually appealing, but they are also loaded with great features.

Many common SPAM and harvest bots are now blocked from our servers. This will protect and help reduce email address harvesting and comment spam. Many web downloaders, which are programs used to copy your entire website to a viewers PC, are also now blocked. The bots and software programs that show up as the following user agents are blocked:

Some FTP tweaks have been performed at the service and firewall level. FTP uploads should now be a little faster and larger successive file uploads(300+), should be successful more often now.

We have updated and improved our support ticket system! New features on the client side include a cleaner layout, better close system, ticket update information, instant knowledge base suggestions and RSS feeds. The new support system now also includes billing account integration. It is available to you in both your billing account under the Get Support button and also via the new address: http://support.ultrawebsitehosting.com
To log in at http://support.ultrawebsitehosting.com simply use the same email address and password used for your billing account. You can find your billing account information in your welcome email. You can also re-acquire your password if you have lost or forgotten it on our billing login page via the forgot password link.
PHP5 Now Available!

PHP5 is now available! To use PHP5 instead of the default PHP4 you have three options. You can rename .php extensions to .php5, you can create an .htaccess file in the directory you need PHP5 to run with the following line:
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php .php3 .phtml .php5
or the third option is to turn it on for your account entirely. Send us a support ticket to have your account configured for this if necessary.
Notice: Most PHP scripts are not compatible with PHP5. The PHP script needs to support PHP5 directly. Be sure to verify compatibility with the script developer/website before enabling PHP5.

The Control Panel engine been updated to version 7.2.0.
PHP has been upgraded to 4.3.2. From PHP.net...
PHP 4.3.2 contains, among others, following important fixes, additions and improvements:
Fixes several potentially hazardous integer and buffer overflows.
Fixes for several 64-bit problems.
New Apache 2.0 SAPI module (sapi/apache2handler, enabled with --with-apxs2).

Improvements to thttpd SAPI module.
Dropped support for GDLIB version 1.x.x (php_gd.dll) on Windows.

The engine to the control panel has been updated to version 7.1.0.
Updates include...
Spam Boxes Users can now choose to have all spam tagged by SpamAssassin sent to a folder called 'spam' instead of their 'inbox'.
MySQL Support Optimized. The MySQL manager is now up to 400% faster.
PHP Software Updates phpMyAdmin has been updated to 2.5.1, imp has been updated to 3.2.1, and phpbb has been updated to 2.0.5.
SquirrelMail is now included as a webmail option.
